Following graduation, Marty clerked for federal judges in the Northern District of Indiana. He entered private practice in 1997 and has over 20 years of experience as a business lawyer. With extensive experience managing all types of difficult situations that businesses face, Marty has tried cases, negotiated settlements, argued appeals, obtained injunctions, arbitrated disputes, and advised clients on how to avoid disputes.  His clients view him as a trusted advisor who helps clients navigate difficult contracting and employment law matters.
Marty is the immediate past Chair of the Litigation Section Council of the Ohio State Bar Association.  He is one of three founders of the Ohio Civil Justice Reform Task Force.  He is a past president of the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court in Dayton.  From 2013-2016, he served on the national Board of the Notre Dame Alumni Association.
